A New Chapter for HE2B: Bringing IT, Engineering & Technology Together

Since 14 September, three educational entities — ESI (Computer Science), ISIB (Industrial Engineering) and BAPSIE (Industrial Prevention) — have joined forces to create D2IT (Department of Computer Science, Engineering and Technology), under the leadership of Benoît Bottin.

🚀 Bringing together more than 1,300 students, this new department combines expertise in computer science, cybersecurity, industrial engineering, prevention, safety and environmental technologies.

This initiative opens the door to new synergies, interdisciplinary collaboration and stronger connections between education, research and industry.

🤝 Connecting Education and Industry

For companies, this new structure also represents an opportunity to strengthen ties with the next generation of engineers and technology professionals through internships, student projects, recruitment opportunities and collaborative initiatives.

At BAG – Brussels Aerospace & Defence Group, we welcome this development, which aligns with our commitment to fostering innovation, developing technological skills and strengthening collaboration between academia and industry within the Brussels aerospace and defence ecosystem.
